Expeditors’ Third-Quarter Income Falls 33%

Logistics firm Expeditors International of Washington said Tuesday its third-quarter net income fell 33% to $57.8 million, or 27 cents a share, from $85.6 million, or 39 cents, a year ago.

Revenue fell to $1.04 billion from $1.56 billion a year ago, the company said in a statement. Net revenue fell 19% to $346.5 million.

Seattle-based Expeditors International of Washington is ranked No. 19 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of North American logistics companies.
