Columbia Group Opens N.J. Chassis Depot

The New Jersey-based company said the 12-acre property is stocked with TRAC Intermodal chassis but will be open to all chassis owners.

“Having [TRAC] as our first client is a strong way to begin this service, and we look forward to the opportunity to serve additional customers from this location,” Columbia Group CEO Bruce Fenimore said.

The company also operates container storage and supply facilities elsewhere in the Port of New York and New Jersey, and in Boston.

“The motor carrier community and chassis providers in the Port of New York and New Jersey want an adequate supply of available chassis, quick turn-times and quality repairs. This is exactly the type of service we aim to provide,” Fenimore said.
