Englander Transportation Acquires Three Companies
Englander Transportation Inc. has acquired three Mountain City, Tenn., trucking companies for an undisclosed price, according to the Rustburg, Va.-based fleet.
Joining Englander are Transportation Technologies Inc., Triple C Transportation Services Inc. and C&H Logistics Inc. They were founded and owned by Dennis Cook and Kristy Herman, who will continue to oversee the terminal operations.
“The operational framework of these companies closely matches that of our current refrigerated transportation model, and we are excited about both the synergies and opportunities that will arise as a result of this union,” said Carl Bumgarner, owner of Englander Transportation and Fleetmaster Express Inc.
With the acquisition, Englander said it will add more than 80 drivers and 60 tractors, 25 of which will be staffed with teams, and 70 refrigerated trailers
The existing freight brokerage division of Triple C will be transitioned to Englander’s sister company, Fleetmaster Xpress Logistics Inc. The result of these acquisitions will give Englander a fleet capacity of nearly 100 tractors and 110 refrigerated trailers.
Englander specializes in team refrigerated transportation of produce from the West Coast to Virginia and Maryland. Fleetmaster Express operates more than 300 trucks and 1,300 trailers and provides service from 15 terminals.
