J.B. Hunt Joins S&P 500 Index
J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. has been selected to join the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index, a stock market index based on the performance of 500 large publicly traded companies.
The intermodal and trucking firm was added to the index at the close of the market June 30.
“Joining the S&P 500 Index is an honor for our company made possible by the confidence from our customers and consistent execution from our employees,” said Chief Financial Officer David Mee said.
J.B. Hunt, based in Lowell, Arkansas, ranks No. 3 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in the United States and Canada.
