Old World Industries Acquires Dasco’s DEF Business

Old World Industries announced it acquired Dasco Inc.’s diesel exhaust fluid and prilled [pellet] automotive-grade urea global business and assets.

OWI forecast the DEF market is expected to grow at nearly a 10% compounded annual growth rate over the next decade.

“OWI successfully entered the DEF market in 2009 with best-in-class products under its flagship brand BlueDEF,” Charles Culverhouse, CEO of Old World Industries, said in a release. “We have become the market leader for DEF because our channel partners, distributors and consumers recognize OWI’s commitment to providing the highest quality DEF available. The acquisition of Dasco’s DEF and AGU business expands OWI’s reach and capabilities to meet the needs of our customers and consumers in this growing category.”

Based in Monument, Colo., Dasco manufactures products related to crop nutrients, animal feed ingredients and industrial chemicals.
