Ryder Names Timothy Fiore Chief Procurement Officer
Ryder System Inc. appointed Timothy Fiore as chief procurement officer, a position he held previously at the company.
“We are happy to welcome Tim back to the Ryder team,” Ryder Chairman and CEO Robert Sanchez said in a statement. “Tim has driven significant results over the course of 35 years, leading procurement organizations at large global enterprises, including previously being Ryder’s chief procurement officer from 2002 to 2005. With his strong leadership and process focus, I am confident Tim will build on our success.”
During his time at Ryder, Fiore and his team were instrumental in improving the supplier selection and management process that resulted in more cooperation with Ryder’s key suppliers for vehicle support and fuel activities, according to the Miami-based company.
The team’s activities addressed all sectors of Ryder’s supply chain by championing a fact-based, data-driven process to establish future key supplier relationships.
