Video: Mack Partners With Mack
Mack Trucks reached an agreement to sponsor Oakland Raiders defensive end Khalil Mack.
Mack, the 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, will promote the manufacturer’s news Sept. 13, the day its newest truck will debut.
“We obviously share the same name, but what really brought us together was shared values,” John Walsh, vice president of global marketing and brand management for Mack Trucks said in a statement.
The new truck will feature a “distinctive” yet “recognizable” design, the company said in an online promotional video.
“I think the design team nailed it” in terms of expressing honesty, strength and authenticity, Walsh said in a video.
“What Mack Trucks stands for — never backing down from a challenge, stopping only when the job is done — has always driven me,” Mack said. “I’m looking forward to working hard together, Mack and Mack, to get the job done.”
The newest Mack truck will be on display at the North American Commercial Vehicle Show in Atlanta during Sept. 25-28.
