California Tops List of Worst Roads in United States

TRIP Report Says 32% of Nation’s Thoroughfares Need ‘Significant Improvement’
Bad roads are costing every trucker more than $1,200 a year in extra repairs and depreciation, according to estimates by The Road Information Program. The group found that 32% of the nation’s roads are in need of “significant improvement.”

“It costs less to pay for the roads than to pay for the damage they cause,” TRIP Director of Research Frank Moretti told Transport Topics.
