bill requiring motorists on Florida highways to stay out of the far left lane, except when passing another vehicle, was approved by both branches of the state Legislature April 7 and expected shortly at the governor’s office, an official with the state’s Office of Policy and Budget said.
Kurt Ahrendt, chief policy analyst, said his department planned to conduct an analysis of the bill once it arrived, and then “we will make a recommendation to the governor on whether or not he should sign it.”
Under Florida law, Gov. Jeb Bush (R) would have seven days
o sign the bill once received, Ahrendt said.
