Dick Henderson, CVSA director of government affairs, told Transport Topics additional attention was placed on vehicles hauling hazmats during this year’s event, held June 7-9 across North America.
There is now increased scrutiny of items like shipping papers and placards to ensure the hazardous materials being hauled are properly identified, which helps to eliminate a potential threat while ensuring safety on the highways,” Henderson said.
