A growing chorus of Wall Street professionals is predicting that electric and autonomous vehicles sales will propel Tesla Inc. and Apple Inc. to $3 trillion each in market value by 2030.

DETROIT — The U.S. government’s highway safety agency is sending a team to Detroit to investigate a crash involving a Tesla that drove beneath a semitrailer.

Tesla Inc. said Jerome Guillen, who’s been president of automotive since September 2018, transitioned last week to president of Tesla heavy trucking.
