AE Industrial Partners Acquires Alpine Air Express

AE Industrial Partners has acquired Provo, Utah-based Alpine Air Express Inc., a logistics and transportation company providing regional air cargo services, according to an AEI news release.

Terms weren’t disclosed. Akerman served as legal adviser to AEI, while KPMG provided financial advice.

AE Industrial of Boca Raton, Fla., is a private equity investor specializing in aerospace, defense, power generation and specialty industrial businesses.

Alpine Air Express provides regional air cargo services throughout the mountain region of the western United States.

The company operates a fleet of more than 40 aircraft. AEI officials said Alpine Air Express recently developed a proprietary certificate to convert the Beechcraft 1900D aircraft from passenger configuration to cargo configuration, making it the largest single-pilot cargo aircraft in the world.

Demand is steadily growing for reliable air transportation to support increasing shipments and specialty cargo throughout the United States, AEI Vice President Jeff Hart said. — Transport Topics
