ATA Thanks Drivers With Op-Ed, Videos, Billboards
American Trucking Associations is showing its appreciation for professional drivers in several ways this week.

The ATA home page will have a slider with a message from President Chris Spear to professional drivers, thanking them for all they do. Additionally, Transport Topics published Spear’s op-ed,“Salute the Heroes Who Drive Our Economy,” on Sept. 10.
“Duty deserves recognition, and sacrifice must be met with gratitude,” Spear wrote. “Together, we can heighten the place of truck drivers within the national consciousness.”
ATA has also posted several videos about the industry on its National Truck Driver Appreciation Week page and has adopted the hashtag “#ThankATrucker” on social media.
The organization is partnering with Trucking Moves America Forward and state trucking associations to run billboards in a number of states that thank truck drivers and educate motorists.
