ATRI Announces Advisory Committee for 2017-2018

Transportation experts from around the country were chosen for the American Transportation Research Institute’s research advisory committee for 2017-2018, the group’s president announced Dec. 20.

The committee consists of trucking industry stakeholders, law enforcement officials, academics and policymakers from around the country. Its chief objective is to determine the main priorities for trucking to examine for the next two years.

The committee’s chairman will be Scott Mugno, vice president of safety, sustainability and vehicle maintenance at FedEx Ground.

"The [committee] serves a critical role in developing and prioritizing research proposals that address the trucking industry's top issues. We congratulate those appointed by the board to serve in this important role, and we look forward to working with them," said Rebecca Brewster, ATRI president.

The advisory committee’s roster is listed on ATRI’s website.
