ATRI's Dan Murray Wins J.R. 'Bob' Halladay Award

The Trucking Association Executives Council honored American Transportation Research Institute Senior Vice President Dan Murray with the prestigious J.R. “Bob” Halladay Award.

TAEC is composed of executives of state trucking associations and conferences affiliated with American Trucking Associations.

The award is given to individuals who have made contributions to assist and support the work of the 50 state trucking associations.

This year, the award was presented at TAEC’s annual meeting in Sonoma, Calif.

“We are all better because of Dan and the outstanding support he provides us through valuable data, research and information that is paramount in our ability to serve our respective memberships,” said Brenda Neville, immediate past chairman of TAEC and president of the Iowa Motor Truck Association.

Murray has worked for ATRI for about 27 years.

The award is named after Bob Halladay, a longtime trucking industry leader who died in 2012 at age 91.
