Attorneys in Pilot Fuel Rebate Case Seek Sentencing Delay
Prosecutors and defense attorneys in the Pilot Flying J diesel-fuel rebate criminal case have asked a federal judge to delay sentencing for 10 former company executives who have pleaded guilty as participants in a scheme to cheat customers.
A motion filed in federal court Jan. 27 seeking the delay said, “Neither party is requesting the court to schedule a sentencing date in this case at this time.”
In their plea agreement, all 10 executives agreed to cooperate with the government in the ongoing FBI investigation.
Last August, the judge directed the parties in the case to submit a joint status report by Jan. 30.
However, the attorneys asked the judge to reschedule the status conference for June 24.
