Baltimore Trucking Co. Folds

Baltimore’s Bond Transfer Co. filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection and has liquidated, the Maryland Daily Record newspaper reported.

Bond began as an entity in 1934 when William Constantine founded Liberty Transfer Co. with a single truck, the paper reported.

Constantine’s son later purchased Bond Transfer Co. and the companies operated together until 1980, when Liberty ceased operations, the Daily Record said.

According to American Trucking Associations data, Bond had 53 drivers, 20 owned and 12 leased trucks, 11 owned and seven leased tractors, and 14 owned and three leased trailers.
