Berkshire Hathaway Adds Trucker Insurance in Canada
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance announced its Motor Truck Cargo Legal Liability policy intended to protect against the legal liability commercial truckers face when carrying third-party goods.
The new policy is designed for mid-sized Canadian-based motor carriers that specialize in transporting commodities primarily in Canada or cross-border to the United States.
Truckers and cargo are covered anywhere within Canada and the continental United States, according to the Boston-based company.
The new policy is the latest addition to its Marine & Inland Marine suite of products in Canada. The portfolio also includes ocean cargo, builder’s risk and contractor’s equipment products, according to the company.
