Business Inventories Rise by Most in Six Months

Business inventories rose 0.4% in July, the most in six months, while sales increased 0.6%, the Commerce Department reported.

Economists had forecast inventories to rise 0.2%, according to Bloomberg News.

Retailer inventories rose 0.2%, the smallest gain in four months, Commerce said.

When sales are growing, trucking usually faces additional demand to deliver goods and restock shelves.
