BX Solutions Expands Logistics Network

BX Solutions, a Toledo, Ohio-based third-party logistics provider, has launched an expanded “time-definite” transportation network connecting 31 cities in the Midwest and Southeast.

The service offers specializes in airport-to-airport service and includes less-than-truckload and airfreight forwarding, sorting, warehousing and fulfillment.

The company also offers scanning at the package level to help customers monitor their shipments.

CEO Chris Marshall told Transport Topics that BX Solutions plans to further expand its network in the Northeast, Texas and the West Coast in the next several months.

“We’ll have just over 60 major markets in the U.S., and that will be in a time-definite network,” he said.

Marshall said the management team at BX Solutions previously worked together at the former BAX Global Inc., whose operations have been integrated into German logistics provider DB Schenker’s U.S. division.

Marshall said that BX Solutions, which began operations in 2011, is building its network to “re-establish” logistics services that were previously available through BAX Global.

BX Solutions has about 250 employees, with the majority based in Toledo.

“BX Solutions believes that Northwest Ohio has a competitive advantage with regard to transportation and distribution,” Marshall said. “With the crossroads of the highways, with the intermodal capabilities, we have the capability of building a very robust distribution system that can meet not only the business requirements but also the e-commerce needs [of shippers].”
