Carrier Logistics Offers Fleets Web-Based Software Product

Carrier Logistics Inc., a software provider focused on less-than-truckload carriers and logistics companies, said that it rolled out a Web-based, pay-as-you-go version of its FACTS freight management software.

A CLI executive said that the company added the Web-based on-demand service to ease adoption costs for carriers that cannot afford to purchase, install and maintain their own information technology infrastructure.

“There are many entrepreneurial, growing carriers that need to find a way to be competitive with other carriers but find the upfront cost of purchasing an IT system daunting,” said Ken Weinberg, CLI’s vice president.

FACTS-ondemand offers the same features as the installed version of FACTS, including pickup-and-delivery routing and dispatching, freight billing and integrated accounting.

FACTS-ondemand also retains the management reporting tools included in the original FACTS, CLI said.
