CenterPoint Properties in December made its third acquisition in 2017 in the Miami market, buying a 130,000-square-foot Class A building in the Gratigny submarket.
Oak Brook, Ill.-based CenterPoint said it has invested more than $180 million in the market in the last 12 months.
The 6-acre site is centrally located and is half a mile or less from the Gratigny and Palmetto Expressways, 2 miles from Interstate 75 and I-95, 5 miles from Miami International Airport and 12 miles from Port of Miami.
Earlier in 2016, CenterPoint bought a 961,000-square-foot warehouse facility on 59 acres in Miami and a 306,703-square-foot cross-load facility on 32 acres in the Medley submarket of Miami-Dade County.
CenterPoint develops, acquires and manages industrial property and transportation infrastructure in major coastal and inland port logistics markets. Its U.S. portfolio includes 58 million square feet in 306 buildings on 2,363 acres.
