Ceva to Manage Ikea Distribution Center in New York
Ceva Logistics has opened a customer distribution center with home-furnishings retailer Ikea in Staten Island, N.Y., according to a news release.
Ceva, based in Baar, Switzerland, said it has a five-year deal to provide warehouse management and fulfillment services, managing the 975,000-square-foot site. Built on a previously vacant 200-acre piece of land on the west shore of Staten Island, the focus of the new center will be on delivering items to customers who order products online or purchase larger items at an Ikea store or planning studio for home delivery, according to Ceva, whose North American headquarters is in Houston.
