Third-party logistics firm C.H. Robinson Worldwide said that it had acquired London-based Walker Logistics Overseas, an international freight forwarder.
Walker, with offices United Kingdom, Ireland and the Netherlands, specializes in air and ocean freight, warehousing, courier and logistics operation, C.H. Robinson said in a statement Monday. It was founded in 1977, and has 75 employees.
C.H. Robinson, which already operates in Europe, can expand on its European operations through the Walker acquisition, Jeff Scovill, vice president of C.H. Robinson, said in the statement.
C.H. Robinson is ranked No. 7 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of North American logistics firms.
