C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. launched a new load-matching platform aimed at helping carriers improve efficiency, the company announced July 18.
Digital Dispatch is designed to provide carriers with real-time and customized recommendations that are sent immediately via text or email. The technology uses an algorithm that combines data and artificial intelligence to provide timely and precise load recommendations, said C.H. Robinson, which ranks No. 2 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest logistics companies in North America.
“In a dynamic and ever-shifting freight marketplace, carriers need real-time access to freight to secure loads before they disappear,” said Cody Griggs, vice president of digital brokerage at C.H. Robinson. “Not only does Digital Dispatch send loads in real time, giving carriers a ‘first look,’ but they are also highly relevant, allowing them to secure the best-suited freight for their network and, in turn, driving better business outcomes and improved service for customers.”

C.H. Robinson said the system gives carriers an alternative to manual processes, such as phone calls and browsing through large load boards. The load-matching engine uses data to provide tailored and precise recommendations, notifying carriers about the best loads that match their preferences instead of sending recommendations in bulk batches.

“We are seeing carriers book 40% of their C.H. Robinson loads through our Digital Dispatch program, allowing them to access loads tailored to their specific needs at lightning-fast speeds,” Griggs said. “This early adoption reinforces that this is a game changer for carriers looking to stay ahead of the competition and scale their business.”
Digital Dispatch can analyze nearly 1.2 million searches daily for patterns, such as preferred routes, equipment types, load origins and destinations, to provide personalized recommendations.
