Logistics and transportation company Comcar Industries appointed Michael Ryan CEO and president effective April 17.
Ryan also will hold a seat on the board of directors, according to the company.
Comcar Industries ranks No.79 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire companies.
Most recently, Ryan was CEO and president of U.S. Shipping Corp., a provider of longhaul marine transportation for petroleum and chemical cargoes in the U.S. coastwise trade, and based in Edison, N.J.
“Our immediate focus will be on providing our shippers transportation service value and industry-leading safety performance,” he said in a statement.
Comcar is headquartered in Auburndale, Fla. Its subsidiary trucking companies include CTL Transportation, CCC Transportation, MCT Transportation and CT Transportation.
