Consumer Sentiment Dips in June

U.S. consumer confidence fell in June to a 10-month low the previous month, according to the University of Michigan’s monthly consumer sentiment index released Friday.

The final index for the month fell to 85.3 from 88.3 last month. Two weeks ago, the preliminary reading for the month was 83.7.

The level was slightly higher than economists’ forecasts of an 84 reading, Bloomberg reported.
