Covenant Transport Raises Driver Pay 6%
Covenant Transport Inc. said it is increasing driver pay by about 6% to attract hazmat-certified team drivers for its over-the-road program.
The company said it also is starting a tuition reimbursement program for up to $15,000, as well as creating a “Peak Pay” program to reward drivers hauling loads from October to January.
“We are excited and honored to announce these recent upgrades to our professional driver pay packages,” Chief Operating Officer Sam Hough said in a statement.
“Professional drivers are the cornerstone of our industry, and we are committed to doing whatever it takes to hire, retain and cultivate a safe professional driving force,” he added.
Covenant Transportation Group ranks No. 43 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
