Ernest Dandridge Carrier Design Services Inc. announced it added electrification options to its adjustable enclosed car-hauling equipment, RAD/Auto Transport Modules, for use in vans from Kentucky Trailer.
It offers a rooftop solar-panel, battery-charger system for its car-transport equipment hydraulics to enhance trailer self-sufficiency, according to the McLean, Va.,-based company.
“No additional equipment, such as a power takeoff, is needed on a tractor,” founder Ernest Dandridge said in a release.
At the same time, the company introduced a battery-powered ceiling camera system so drivers can monitor from the trailer floor the hydraulic raising of vehicles toward the trailer ceiling. — Transport Topics
