DHL Express said Monday it has started a new service from New York City to several major European destinations, including guaranteed arrivals by noon in Paris and Zurich, Switzerland.
Separately, the company’s parent, Deutsche Post, named Scott Price chief executive officer of its DHL delivery unit in Europe, effective July 1.
DHL said it is offering the deliveries by the end of the next business day for the Monday through Thursday service to Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, London and Madrid.
Shipments are picked up by courier in Manhattan and flown by helicopter directly to John F. Kennedy airport to avoid traffic, DHL said.
DHL Americas is ranked No. 4 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
