Dobbs Truck Group Adds 18th Peterbilt Location

Dobbs Truck Group announced it broke ground on its latest Peterbilt Motors Co. dealership, as well as Dobbs Truck Group corporate office in Sumner, Wash.
The facility will be situated on 11 acres and represents a $16 million investment in its dealership network, the company said in a release. It is expected to add 100 jobs to Sumner, which is south of Seattle and in northern Pierce County.
The dealership location will include provisions for the sale and service of battery-electric vehicles.
The approximate completion date is Jan. 1, 2022. It is the 18th Dobbs Peterbilt dealership location, the ninth in the state.
Peterbilt is a brand of Bellevue, Wash.-based Paccar Inc.
The company has additional locations in Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oregon and Tennessee.
It also handles trucks from Volvo Trucks North America, Mack Trucks, Autocar and Hino Trucks.
