LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Dometic Group announced the launch of three truck-cab comfort and convenience products at the Mid-America Trucking Show here.
The products are an auxiliary air conditioner, refrigerator and cooler.
Dometic’s Blizzard Turbo is an auxiliary air conditioner that enables drivers to keep their truck cabs comfortable when the engine is shut down. The 7,000 BTU unit can be powered by batteries, a generator or shore power, the company said.
CRX 50 is a new built-in refrigerator, with 50-liter overall capacity and a removable freezer compartment so it can be configured to meet each driver’s needs. It features electronic internal controls and a variable-speed compressor.
Dometic also introduced its Avalanche cooler, made of polyurethane-insulated walls, and a freezer-style seal. The lid has molded cup holders. Using either conventional or dry ice, it can keep food cold for seven to 10 days, the company said.
