Demand for services has prompted a transportation and distribution firm to lease space in Antrim Township while its permanent center is being built nearby.
A. Duie Pyle’s leased 150,000-square-foot integrated logistics facility opened Sept. 1.
“[It] meets the logistical needs of customers by offering integrated [less-than-truckload] and dedicated transportation services providing next-day transit to the Northeast,” according to a news release from the company.

The site is expected to serve three trucks a day, opening with 10 employees and growing to more than 20, according to Frank Granieri, chief operating officer of supply chain solutions.
“We are excited to open our 11th warehouse and distribution center, which will provide additional capacity to continue to service our customer’s expansion needs,” Granieri said. “This interim capacity solution will provide us with temporary space to operate in advance of the completion and opening of our newest integrated logistics center.”
Work is underway at the 35-plus-acre A. Duie Pyle site along U.S. 11 south of Greencastle. It will include up to 300,000 square feet of warehouse space, an 81-door LTL cross dock, a 10-bay fleet maintenance center that includes an automatic truck wash and office space. Slated to open in 2020, it will serve about 40 trucks a day and create about 75 jobs, according to Granieri.
A. Duie Pyle ranks No. 74 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America.
