FedEx Logistics Announces Headquarters Move
FedEx Logistics will move its global headquarters to the former Gibson Guitar factory building in Memphis, Tenn., according to a Feb. 12 press release. The transition will consolidate multiple locations, bringing almost 700 employees to the location over the next several years.

The move will begin in April 2020. FedEx is adding an additional mezzanine to the site, which will expand the square footage from 154,000 to just under 200,000.
“This is a moment of dynamic growth and transformation both for our company and for the city of Memphis, and we at FedEx Logistics are thrilled to be a part of this revitalization of downtown Memphis,” FedEx Logistics CEO Richard Smith said.
Last month, the company announced the rebranding of FedEx Trade Networks to FedEx Logistics. The subsidiary provides an array of logistics offerings, including air and ocean cargo networks, trade brokerage and facilitation, and custom critical services.
