Annette Sandberg, former administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Administration, will become an attorney with a transportation law firm in Spokane, Wash., the firm said.
She will help to establish a new office location for Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary, as an attorney in its team focusing on regulation, the Department of Transportation and hazardous materials compliance, the law firm said in a statement Monday.
Sandberg led FMCSA from August 2003 to March 2006, and was the agency’s second administrator. She was a deputy administrator at the National Traffic Highway Safety Administration before that.
Since resigning from FMCSA, Sandberg has become CEO of TransSafe Consulting, a role she will continue to hold, the law firm said.
