Fleet compliance firm J.J. Keller & Associates and load-tracking provider FourKites have partnered to provide up-to-date location data to their mutual customers.
The integration will enable GPS tracking information to flow between J.J. Keller’s Encompass fleet management system and the FourKites tracking platform, the companies said in a joint announcement.
As a result, Encompass customers will be able to receive GPS data on active loads every 15 minutes, from pickup to delivery. That enhanced load visibility helps to reduce costs associated with check calls and driver detention time, according to the companies.
The integration with Emcompass provides carriers, private fleets and third-party logistics firms “unprecedented omni-modal freight visibility” within the FourKites platform, said Craig Fiander, senior vice president of global business development for FourKites.
“Our integration with FourKites allows our shared customers the ability to navigate with geo-fencing capabilities, making fleet dispatch and tracking more fluid,” Tom Reader, director of marketing at J.J. Keller, said.
