Gasoline Continues Lower Trend, Lundberg Survey Reports

Gasoline’s national average pump price fell 7 cents in the past two weeks to $3.85 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.

Premium grade gasoline fell to $4.12 and mid-grade declined to $4 a gallon, analyst Trilby Lundberg said in her twice-monthly survey of filling stations released Sunday.

Chicago had the highest price among cities surveyed, at $4.32 per gallon, while Tulsa, Okla., had the lowest, at $3.40, said the survey, which was conducted Friday.

The Department of Energy’s weekly survey has shown small but steady declines in both diesel and gasoline prices in the past month. DOE will release this week’s survey Monday afternoon in Washington.
