Gasoline Falls 9¢ in Two Weeks to $3.29, Lundberg Says

Gasoline’s national average price dropped 9 cents in the past two weeks to an average $3.29 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.

Mid-grade also fell 9 cents, to $3.46 per gallon, while premium slipped 8 cents to $3.57, according to the twice-monthly survey of 2,500 stations taken Friday.

Diesel’s average slipped a nickel, to $3.96 a gallon, Lundberg said.

Albuquerque, N.M., had the lowest price of cities surveyed, with an average gasoline price of $2.84, while San Francisco was the highest, at $3.67.



The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
