Goodyear Notches Diagnostic Milestone

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. announced a milestone as its tire management tools inspected nearly 4 million tires over a year to help fleets identify potential tire issues and improve overall fleet operations, and identified nearly 400,000 potential tire issues.
The tools include Goodyear Tire Optix, Goodyear TPMS Plus and Goodyear CheckPoint, all of which monitor conditions like tire pressure, temperature and tread wear and alert fleets to irregularities so they can prevent a roadside breakdown.
While some of these tools have been in the market for several years, the company noted it officially relaunched them as a collective offering called Goodyear Complete Tire Management in February of last year.
This data was collected from Goodyear’s TPMS Plus, Tire Optix and CheckPoint tools from February 2020 through February 2021, according to the Akron, Ohio-based company. — Transport Topics
