Goodyear Adds Regional Haul Trailer Tire

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. introduced a new addition to the Cooper Work Series line, the company announced June 28.
The Work Series Regional Haul Trailer 2 is a trailer tire designed to help fleet owners meet regional haul demands in both tandem and spread axle trailer applications. The new trailer tires are designed for tough routes and tight turns. They are also SmartWay verified.
“Dependability and durability are top-of-mind for fleet operators when choosing a tire that meets the unique demands of regional trailer tire applications,” said Tom Lippello, senior director of commercial marketing at Goodyear North America. “Fleets can feel confident they can navigate tough roads while delivering efficiency for their business with this new Work Series trailer tire offering.”
Goodyear said the trailer tires are available in eight sizes. They feature technology for even treadwear and high scrub resistance to help balance efficiency and durability. That includes low-rolling resistance and high scrub tread compound to help resist wear and tearing, while promoting fuel efficiency.
The features include four heavy-duty, full-width steel belt construction that promotes durability in spread axle applications while also preserving the casing for retreadability, a shoulder profile that helps minimize tearing in high scrub applications and wear square visual indicator.
