Truckload carrier Heartland Express said Thursday its fourth-quarter profit fell 15% to $16.6 million, or 17 cents a share, from $19.6 million, or 20 cents, a year earlier.
Revenue rose 4% to $152.8 million, the carrier said in a statement.
For the full year, Heartland earned $76.2 million, or 78 cents a share, down from $87.2 million, or 89 cents, the previous year.
Revenue for the full year rose 4% to $591.9 million.
Heartland Express is ranked No. 45 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire trucking companies.
