Honeywell Completes Acquisition of Intermec

Honeywell International Inc. said it completed its acquisition of mobile computing company Intermec Inc. for $600 million.

The deal was announced in December. At the time, Honeywell said the acquisition will nearly double the size of its scanning and mobility business to about $1.6 billion in annual sales.

“The acquisition of Intermec will add  innovative products and solutions, as well as deep engineering expertise and a broad global sales channel that further demonstrates our commitment to provide our customers an increasing array of innovative technologies,” John Waldron, president of Honeywell’s scanning and mobility unit, said in a statement.

Besides mobile computing products, Intermec provides other supply chain technology, such as radio-frequency identification tags and mobile printers.
