Hub Group’s 4Q Profit Rises

Hub Group Inc.’s fourth-quarter profit rose 11% as its intermodal and truck brokerage operations improved.

Net income rose to $18.8 million, or 51 cents per share, from $17 million, or 46 cents, a year ago.

Revenue rose to $801 million, from $762 million, Hub Group said.

Intermodal revenue rose 8% to $451 million, truck brokerage revenue increased 7% to $87 million while revenue at its Unyson Logistics unit dipped 1% to $76 million.

Hub Group is ranked No. 31 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of U.S. and Canadian logistics companies.
