Initial Jobless Claims Unchanged for Week

Initial jobless claims held at a 10-month low last week, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Claims were unchanged at 505,000 for the week ended Saturday, in line with economists’ forecasts, Bloomberg reported.

The four-week moving average, a less volatile measure, fell to 514,000, from 520,500.

Continuing jobless for the previous week ended Nov. 7 fell 39,000 to 5.61 million, Labor said.
