Instructional Technologies Inc. has introduced an automated learning management system designed to help fleets manage driver training.
Sentix, available for purchase Nov. 1, streamlines the manual processes associated with scheduling, tracking and verifying training, said Aaron Purvis, ITI’s chief technology officer.
“Fleets are swimming in data, and that data should be very useful for triggering training, but often it’s not,” Purvis said. “Most training professionals spend an inordinate amount of time fiddling with spreadsheets and checklists and manually assigning or scheduling training.”
Sentix enables safety and training departments to automatically assign training based on criteria such as hire date, training requirements, incidents, company policies and regulations. The training platform also allows fleets to more easily track the expiration of licenses, medical certificates and endorsements.
Sentix can integrate with various other fleet management systems used in the transportation industry, including back-office software and onboard telematics systems.
ITI, based in Vancouver, Wash., provides a variety of training products for the transportation industry, including the Pro-Tread online driver training system.
