Intermec’s Fourth-Quarter Profit Declines

Supply chain technology firm Intermec Inc. reported a second-quarter loss of $6.5 million, or 11 cents a share, down from a profit of $7.7 million, or 13 cents, a year ago.

Revenue fell 27.8% to $157.7 million, Intermec said in a statement.

“Intermec executed well in a challenging economic environment, delivering within our quarterly guidance and generating cash,” said Chief Executive Officer Patrick Byrne.

The company forecast third-quarter revenues be $165 to $175 million, and the quarterly loss to be 8 cents to 3 cents per share.
