Intermodal’s Finkbiner To Head Tank Carrier

Thomas L. Finkbiner, longtime head of intermodal operations for Norfolk Southern Corp., has been named chief executive officer for Quality Distribution, a tank truck company based in Tampa, Fla.

Finkbiner, who will also be on the company’s board of directors, succeeds Charles J. O’Brien Jr., who will continue to serve as chairman of Quality Distribution’s board.

“This is just a wonderful opportunity for me,” said Finkbiner in a telephone interview last week. “Quality is one of the largest truck lines in the country, and you don’t often get a chance to be CEO of a company like this.”
