Interpool Inc., a maker of shipping containers and chassis for intermodal container transportation, reported its first-quarter net income fell to $17.7 million or 44 cents a share, from $53.3 million or $1.65 a year ago.
Revenue dipped to $92 million from $103 million last year, the company said in a statement laste Tuesday..
Revenue dipped to rose to $374.2 million from $416.5 million in 2005. The reduction was in part due to the sale of the container unit, Interpool said in a statement.
Interpool last March sold the majority of its container unit to a Swiss investor group for $515 million.
