Jubitz Offers Prizes, Lunch

A compilation of events thanking drivers during 2018 National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
Jubitz Truck Stop and Travel Center will hold a free barbecue bash to celebrate truck drivers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 12. During Jubitz Driver Appreciation Day, anyone with a commercial driver license can enjoy a barbecue lunch, visit vendors and win prizes.
In the past, prizes have included flat-screen TVs and mountain bikes. As many as 400 truck drivers have attended the event in previous years.
The Portland, Ore., location has been called the “World’s Classiest Truck Stop” by the Fox Travel Channel. It was founded in 1952 by Monroe A. Jubitz and remains a single-location, family-owned business.
