JZ Expedited Promotes Chris Sloope to COO
The JZ Expedited Companies, a full-service asset-based 3PL, has announced the promotion of Chris Sloope from vice president of sales and international operations to COO, per a Jan. 4 press release.

The new role will focus Sloope on leading the daily and future activities of all JZ Expedited Companies, including JAX Global Cargo, North Florida Warehouse FTZ, JZ Expedited Logistics, JZ Expedited Trucking, JZI Global Supply Chain Management and Florida Tobacco Traders.
Prior to joining the JZ Expedited Companies in February 2017, Sloope spent 11 years with Crowley Maritime, leading their inside sales department and starting their project cargo division. Subsequently, he spent eight years as vice president for Americas World Group.
The JZ Expedited Companies offer land, air and sea transportation, as well as foreign trade zone and U.S. Customs bonded warehousing services domestically and abroad. It was founded in 2009 and is based in Jacksonville, Fla. — Transport Topics
